£28,000 - £30,000 plus O/T and Bonus

Our client is one of the world’s leading providers of datacentre facilities and solutions to some of the world’s largest financial services companies and global enterprise businesses. As a Datacentre Technician you will be providing technical assistance to customers surrounding racks that house telco and computer equipment along with cabling including COAX, Cat5e, Cat6a and Fibre Cables.

Our client pride themselves on the quality of the customer service that they offer clients and as such take incredible care of their employees to ensure that they are happy at work. You will work as part of a team to provide 24x7x365 support as well as working closely with client engineers, 3rd party providers and remote workers.

You will be joining a business that pride themselves on promoting from within. Over the past 3 years, they have promoted over 60% of their staff of which the top performers are now working in Project Management and Senior leadership positions.

You will get the opportunity to work plenty of overtime shifts if you wish, although you will be supported by a large team if you do not want to.

To be considered for the role of DataCentre Technician, (Racking, Cabling, COAX, Cat5, Cat6, Fibre, Trouble, Telco, TCP/IP and XP), experience in the following is essential:

  • Experience with racking, cabling and supporting datacentre like operations
  • Excellent customer service levels and experience providing services to clients / stakeholders
  • Experience with Cat5e, Cat6a, Fibre cabling
  • Good knowledge of TCP/IP
  • Excellent communication skills and happy to work shifts
