As a data scientist specialist you will be involved in market risk analysis and work with the software engineers to build a data science platform to enhance their risk platform.

This Data Scientist role will involve a self-starter with great experience of working with multiple technologies such as R, Python. Matlab and Hadoop. You will need strengths in RDBMS (SQL, NoSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) with data-mining and data modelling expertise.

AI and machine learning concepts are vital for this role as it will be used for quantitative analysis on big-data. Experience with tools such as MATLAB for financial modelling is a great bonus within this role and other statistical analysis tools.

You will use your strengths in data analysis to create revolutionary solutions to deliver to their impressive list of global clients. You will need to come from a strong academic background with a PhD and a passion for big-data.

Key requirements within this role are as follows:

  • At least 4 years’ experience as a data scientist - Required
  • A great team player with the ability to work collaboratively with a team - Essential
  • Great experience with modelling data - Essential
  • A background in artificial intelligence and machine-learning - Required
  • A degree in either mathematics or computer science from a top tier university - Essential
  • Experience within the financial sector - Desirable
