Data Engineer

London (Hybrid working)

Investment Bank

£90,000 + bonus + benefits

Technologies: Python, Spark, Kubernetes, AWS

An exciting, not to be missed opportunity within a new team in a leading, global investment bank has become available.
 

Working in the data team for the commodities trading division, you will be providing the trading business with key information to enable trading decisions to be made. You will have the opportunity to work with multiple data streams, that will be supplied to end users that will influence their decisions about trades.
 

Specific industry experience isn’t required for this role – but their will be an expectation that this is an area of interest for the successful candidate.
 

You’ll be working on a brand-new big data platform, built with open source technologies on AWS.
 

You should have a strong data background, excellent Python skills, an understanding of cloud architectures (doesn’t need to be AWS), and experience working with relevant technologies such as Spark, Airflow, Etc.
 

In this role you’ll get to work on challenges such as: real time streaming analytics analysis at data lake scale and introducing productionised data science to a brand-new streaming data system.
