Data Engineer - SQL/Python

Equities Trading Firm

Belfast - Hybrid working

Up to £75,000 + bonus + benefits

A leading global equities trading firm is looking to hire a Data Engineer to work on development of ETL pipelines within a rapidly growing team within the company. You will be involved in the design, development and implementation of new pipelines within an area that looks after all options trading data.

As the Database Engineer you will have a strong background working with SQL Server/MySQL for stored procedures, indexing, complex queries, etc and have scripting experience with any language but Python is the main language used in the company. A background within finance/trading will b be beneficial, but full onboarding and training is given in this area so is not essential.

You will have:

• SQL Server or MySQL database experience
• Experience with a scripting language - Python, Java, etc
• Good knowledge of ETL techniques and how to implement
• Desire to learn new skills
