C++ Developer - Low Latency Trading (previous finance experience not required)

City, London

£75,000 + Bonus

Keywords: C++, Real-Time, Low Latency, High Frequency Trading, Unix, Linux

If you understand how to optimise C++ code for performance and want to enter into the world of low latency financial trading, this is an exceptional opportunity to join a well established team.

Previous experience in finance isn't required to join this team, but you must have a demonstrable hunger to learn and the ability to pick up concepts quickly along with a passion for problem solving.

As the C++ Developer you will be working in a front office environment with a small team of highly skilled developers, working on complex trading applications, performance improvements and analysis tools. This is a real-time, high volume environment working on mission critical systems, so the desire to push yourself and your skills is a must.

You will be working with traders to implement strategies as well as working on the core trading platforms to ensure they're as fast and efficient as possible, meaning there are plenty of opportunities to learn a broad range of new skills in this role.

To be considered for you should:

  • Have at least 1 year of experience in multithreaded C++ development
  • Have a genuine, demonstrable interest in technology
  • Have excellent communication skills and be comfortable working in a small team

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong C++ Developer to join a forward thinking and incredibly successful trading team. The successful applicant will be rewarded with an excellent package and granted the opportunity to work on a host of ultra-low latency projects, directly contributing to the P&L of the firm.
