A global leading derivatives trading technology firm who specialise in providing analytical platforms, quant trading software and risk system technology are seeking an OOP developer with skills in C# .Net and Java programming. You will be working closely with their business users on implementation work, core development on trading software and mathematical modelling. This company have a huge presence within the NY trading space and a rapidly expanding London presence, which will give you a chance to work closely with leading Hedge Funds, Algo-Trading Houses and Tier 1 Banks.
This role will require you to have skills in both C# and Java programming, but most work carried out will be in C# .Net. You will be required to code in Java occasionally, dependent on the client you will be working with as messaging systems between their core systems and API’s will need to be in Java. They are seeking a technologist who can turn the hands to either C#, Java, C++, Python and SQL. You will be gain experience working with mathematical models, financial business knowledge and core development skills.
Key requirements for this role are as follows:
- Strong OOP experience with C# and Java – Required
- A good academic background with either Maths/Physics/Computer Science – Required
- Derivatives experience – Desirable
- C++ or Python development experience – Advantageous
- Strong communication skills with a passion for working with the end user/business – Required
