Day Rate: £600 per day - 6 Month Contract
Harrington Starr is working with one of the most exciting hedge funds who are looking to hire a C# & SQL Developer to come join a Front Office Risk Management Team. This hedge fund specialise in commodities and trade energy, but have built a strong team with a wealth of experience of technology and financial application/system development.
This C# Engineer (.Net, SQL, WCF, Multi-Threading) role will require you to have strong C# .Net development skills with proven experience in developing N-Tiered, multi threaded applications. You will be working across their PnL systems, trade execution platforms and risk management systems so you will need expert knowledge in advanced design and best practice knowledge of SOA systems.
This is an autonomous role and you will need to work closely with the business users to deliver systems under pressure so you will need to have come from an engineering background, where you have a deep understanding of the .Net framework.
Key requirements within this C# Engineer (.Net, SQL, WCF, Multi-Threading) role are as follows:
- A deep understanding of C# .Net development – Required
- A computer engineering/science background from a red brick university – Essential
- Financial experience – Required
- Experience within Risk Management (VaR, Greeks,)
- A passionate programmer who is not afraid to use a wide variety of technologies – Essential
- Strong mathematical background – Required
