Job description

Harrington Starr is working with an FTSE 100 Company to find a Business Analyst within Market Risk to join their London trading division in Central London.


Your role as a Business Analyst will be to work closely with the front office Commodities Trading team, senior stakeholders and development teams.


This is an interim position with an initial contract term of 6 months with extensions offered for good performance

Rate: £500 - £650 per day

Location: London City


Your responsibility as the Business Analyst for the Market Risk Commodities Trading team is:

  • Gathering and documenting business and technical requirements
  • Implementing an IT change for the upgrade of software systems
  • Managing your own workflow in both an Agile and Waterfall practice
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders


Must have skills:

  • Strong business analysis skills - we would expect to see a minimum of 5 years professional experience as a Business Analyst
  • Excellent Market Risk and knowledge for trading platforms
  • Commodities Trading experience – Bulk and Physical


  • Ability to work on a hybrid Agile and Waterfall methodology
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
