Harrington Starr are proud to represent our client and present you with an opportunity to join the World's leading institution in it's marketplace. Our client is urgently seeking a experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Test Analyst to join a fast-paced, energetic and successful London based QA Team and reporting to the Head of Quality, the Agile QA Analyst will be an important part of the QA department


Key areas of responsibility are:



  • Worked and comfortable in an Agile Environment – not just Waterfall
  • Good communication skills - liaison with Development, Scrum Master’s and the Business frequency
  • Dynamic and Analytical, will question requirements – attempt to understand the overall business outcomes of the system and not just the specification
  • Look for opportunities and be comfortable assisting automation of test cases within the team they are embedded within
  • Motivated, self-starter with a strong and comfortable with automation tooling
  • Enthusiastic with an ability to operate in a dynamic and pressurised environment, and to prioritise conflicting tasks to complete them in the most effective way
  • Ability to resolve problems in a logical and resourceful manner
  • Quick learner, good written skills
  • Comfortable working with loose or ambiguous requirements and deriving strong outcomes




It is expected that with limited supervision the candidate will be able to deliver each of the key objectives of the role identified above. It is therefore expected that he or she MUST have:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with colleagues in QA, Development, Architecture, as well as BA’s and Business Users.  Will be expected to integrate into Scrum teams.
  • Experience of Software quality processes within a QA Team
  • Good Technical Skills:
    • Good 3GL skills (C/C++/Java etc) – Highly Beneficial
    • Ability SQL skills to write and execute queries
    • Unix experience (Nice to have)


Nice to have:

The following would also be of benefit:-

  • Experience of functional and non-functional testing  (Jmeter, other Performance tooling)
  • Experience of Agile testing methodologies, TDD, BDD

Financial experience, especially Equities, Fixed Income, or Indexing
