Harrington Starr is delighted to be partnering with a leading Financial Services firm in London within Application Support.

This is a rare opportunity for an application support analyst within Oracle or SQL to learn new skills, work with a collaborative team whilst being appreciated & valued.

Job: Application Support Analyst (Oracle / SQL)

You will work closely with the development teams in both production and non-production environments covering aspects such as: working with data center, investigating failures to reach a root cause, resolving issues with Devs whilst liaising with other internal / external support teams.

Other main duties include:

  • Managing & support ETL process, troubleshooting ETL including night and early morning batches.
  • Implement solutions (Scripting etc), including checking Windows Servers, Databased (SQL Server or Oracle) and other relevant environments
  • Rotation our of hours support required with the team (paid)
  • Contributing and regularly joining technical & design workshops, bring your ideas to life.
  • Work with the release teams in the rollout of applications in production
  • Providing system support services in non-production environments such as disaster recovery and development environments required for SDLC.
  • Providing scripts for database enquiry languages, i.e., T-SQL (SQL Server) and PL/SQL (Oracle) to provide analysis and exporting data etc. based on Business requirements.

  • Someone who like to bring ideas to the table and work independently and collaborative
  • Adaptable in your approach
  • Good technical skills in Oracle or SQL (Scripting) some C# would be desirable
