North Starr are working with an established a very well respected Digital Agency that are looking for an Android Developer to work with their large enterprise clients to develop both internal and external facing apps, supporting Design and UX teams. As an Android Developer you will play a key part across Software design, pair programming and code debugging.

As an Android Developer you will need to have at least two years’ experience working with Android Development which includes Android SDK, Android Studio and Java. You will have experience with agile development methodologies with an ability to articulate agile concepts as well as demonstrate past experience working within an Agile environment.

Expectations include development, unit test and integration testing of developed app functionality. Developers are charged with developing multiple internal applications to enable new business process and experience for internal customers within our clients portfolio.

As an Android Developer you will work within a team of 8 other Android developers, to deliver feature sets during the sprints/iterations. Communication and pro-activeness are keys to success; with continual attention to client requirements and flexibility to meet client needs.

To be considered for the role of Android Developer, (Android SDK, Android Studio, REST, JSON, Git, C++) experience in the following is required

  • 2+ years of Android software development experience (Android SDK, Android Studio)
  • Agile experience required
  • Experience developing in Java, C/C++
  • Git, Continuous integration and version control
  • JSON, UNIX, Linux
  • Client side technology experience such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery

This role will provide you with the ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment and successfully drive and execute work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
