Account Manager – Financial technology account manager that will be responsible for maintaining and growing a book of business with the financial research space.
Our client is a global Financial Technology macroeconomic multi asset research provider serving mostly buy side clients.
-3-5 years’ experience in an Account Management position within the financial technology industry.
-Big plus coming from a research background or large financial market data company, and a general interest of macroeconomic news.
-Exp. up-selling but mostly retention focused background within a structured book of business (90%/10% farming to new business).
-Strong organization, time management, and customer facing skills to grow the client base and drive revenues.
-Excellent presentation, business writing, analytical and oral communication skills to C-Suite executives.
-College/University degree required, MBA preferred.
-Must manage a book of business (1mm) of buy side clients.
-Be responsible for all aspects of relationship management within a defined territory of customers. May be given a small new East Coast territory to hunt from inception.
-Right person must actively up-sell and grow revenue with existing clients, hitting monthly revenue targets and yearly quotas.
-Highlight the correct research to companies based on market movements, the client’s needs, and related news.
-Manage price negotiation and contracts for retention.
