Software Engineer - Cloud Technologies
Location: London (Canary Wharf)
Contract Type: Contract
Rate: £600 - £750 per day
Key Responsibilities:

Solace Messaging Expertise:
- Hands-on experience with Solace Messaging, including administration, ACLs, Queues, and profiles.
- Familiarity with alternative message bus technologies such as TIBCO and IBM MQ.

Network Systems and Automation:
- Proficient in network installation, upgrades, and maintenance using automation tools.
- Strong routing and switching knowledge (LAN, WAN, MPLS, BGP, OSPF).
- Experience with Data Centre Networking (SDN, Cisco ACI, VxLAN).

Cloud and Security:
- Solid understanding of network security best practices and cloud-based solutions.
- Competent in scripting and automation (Python, Ansible).

Team Collaboration and Delivery:
- Translate business requirements into technical needs, liaising with architects and other teams to deliver solutions.
- Create documentation, monitor performance, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work within ITIL-aligned processes and use tools like ServiceNow for service management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Strong understanding of Solace Messaging and other message bus systems.
- Proven experience in network operations and delivering IT projects in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of low-latency technologies in financial sectors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication capabilities.
