Infrastructure Engineer

£80,000 - £90,000 basic
Excited to be kicking off the search for an Infrastructure Engineer to join a team of 10+ engineers at a global brokerage based in central London
The Infrastructure Engineer will have a strong knowledge of on-premises and cloud technologies to enhance and upgrade infrastructure systems across multiple platforms. This role demands strong analytical skills for system enhancements and hands-on experience in troubleshooting and automating tasks via scripting languages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and improve infrastructure processes with automation.
- Monitor and maintain infrastructure systems for maximum uptime.
- Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
- Collaborate with global IT teams in APAC, Europe, and North America.
- Follow change control processes for production environment modifications.
- Train and support the Service Desk in deploying new technologies.
- Report on project priority, progress, effort, and cost.
Skills and Experience:
- Expertise in automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python).
- Proficient in monitoring and alerting tools (Splunk, Grafana, Opsgenie).
- Experience with IaC scripting (Terraform, Ansible).
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Linux and Windows.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft domain services (AD, DNS, DFS).
- Extensive experience with virtualisation, both on-premises and cloud.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and influencing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and eager to implement changes.
