Harrington Starr are delighted to announce that Nadia Edwards-Dashti has been included in the Women in FinTech Powerlist 2017.
Innovate Finance’s CEO, Charlotte Croswell, said “We are seeing good representation of women across the sector, particularly in senior roles. Many of them may not be CEOs of companies – yet – but they are making a vital contribution to
FinTech’s success – whether they are working for an accelerator or the regulator, or excelling in professional services.”
Nadia is one of the founding members of Harrington Starr and runs the FinTech business as well as recently heading up The North Starr, our sister business focussing on Data, Cyber, IT Sales and Development. For over thirteen years Nadia has been at the forefront of the FinTech scene being involved in well over a thousand placements in that time. She has been widely recognised as the recruitment sector’s most influential woman in the FS Tech space and is a highly respected commentator on diversity and employment for the BBC. Her YouTube vlog and regular blogs have helped thousands of professionals prepare and manage their career and, with more lined up for 2018, she continues to pioneer and innovate in the recruitment space.
Nadia commented “this is a huge honour and it is great to be included on such a high-profile list including so many inspirational women in our industry. FinTech is one of the most exciting and booming spaces in the world and we are making great strides in terms of diversity in the sector. To see so many women represented is great but there is still so much more that can be achieved.”
Nadia has recently joined the 30% Club, a movement aimed at men and women working together for real change. The 30% Club is a global campaign that signs up Chairs and CEOs to take action to create a better balance of men and women at all levels of their business as a business imperative rather than a “women’s issue.”
Harrington Starr CEO Toby Babb commented “this is hugely deserved recognition for Nadia who has worked tirelessly to create an outstanding reputation in the FinTech industry. She is an utterly inspiring person to work with and her efforts over the last decade have contributed extensively to both the growth of our business and the success of the wider FinTech space. There are some truly exceptional people on the list and Nadia is right up there with the very best of them. We are all hugely proud of her and this recognition.”
